According to Karen Lewis, Chicago Teacher's Union President Mayor Rahm Emanuel is a two faced phony who says one thing in public and another in private. She says the mayor flat out stated 25% of Chicago students are never going to amount to anything, and he is not about to spend money on them. The union president says she was taken back by Rahm statement and found out quickly what kind of man he really is. The two met last year before the mayor's inauguration at a dinner looking forward to having a good working relationship. But according to Karen Lewis it's not happening.
Rahm Emanuel's office stated Lewis made up the story."That's simply false," said Emanuel Press Secretary Sarah Hamilton. "The Mayor is committed to making sure that every single child in Chicago has access to an excellent education, which is why he is fighting so hard to transform the Chicago public schools that have failed our children year after year."
